To post a job offer, you can send it directly to the site developed by the EuPA initiatives (EuBIC and YPIC) from the http://jobs.proteomics-academy.org/jobs/new page. It will then be displayed in the first section of this page (offers proposed by the EuBIC/YPIC partner website).

Your announcement will gain in visibility as it can also be consulted on this portal.

Please note that:
- Only announcements targeting France will be displayed on this page. It is therefore important to specify this when creating your job offer. - Only the title is displayed in the listing, so remember to enter an explicit title.

If this solution does not suit you, you can also contact us so that we can add your offer directly to the second section of this page.

Emplois FPS

Post doctoral position in Mass Spectrometry M/F

Missions

In the frame of an Euramet-funded european project (ProMET) involving National Institutes of Metrology and international structural mass spectrometry groups, the candidate will develop H/D exchange MS (HDX-MS) and Ion Mobility-MS (IM-MS) for the characterisation and quantification of protein conformational states and interactions. The goal is to assess the impact of small primary sequence changes on the higher order structure of reference protein materials.
Activities

Activities

  • Design, perform and interpret HDX-MS and IM-MS on a series of reference material samples.
  • Perform crosslinking mass spectrometry (XL-MS) analyses as orthogonal technique
  • Bioinformatics interpretation of data.
  • Monitor project(s)
  • participate and present results in consortium meetings.
  • Write reports.
  • Present, disseminate and promote achievements.
  • Ensure traceability of analyses as part of LSMBO's quality approach (ISO9001 environment).

Skills

General knowledge

  • Advanced knowledge in bioanalytical chemistry, mass spectrometry-based protein analysis.

Operational know-how

  • In-depth knowledge in intact protein analysis using mass spectrometry
  • Knowledge in nanoLC-MS/MS proteomic analysis;
  • knowledge in HDX-MS, IM-MS and XL-MS (chemical crosslinking MS).
  • Master liquid chromatography (reverse-phase chromatography) and tandem mass spectrometry techniques;
  • Master specific tools and software for reprocessing mass spectrometry data (Dynamix, Proteome Discoverer, MaxQuant, etc.).
  • Manage work in an ISO9001-certified environment;
  • Communicate with internal and external contacts;
  • Work as part of a team in a multidisciplinary environment;
  • Communicate in english (written and spoken) at level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages so as to be able to make regular reports and present results to English-speaking colleagues.
